Mohamed Salah Offers Apology to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has shared that the Egyptian forward apologised to the entire Liverpool squad after the uproar from his televised remarks.

What Happened

The striker was dropped from a vital match after making accusations and claiming his connection to the head coach had soured.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”

Arne Slot has refused to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the player.

The player stated that the team's response stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and everybody was exactly the same with him,” Jones added.

He also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is preferable. “I get that there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”

Their results have been impressive in the matches since the interview fallout. He feels the outburst were never meant to harm the team.

“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and on a positive run.”
