I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
